I will admit that I was guilty of trying to buy armor. I remember I had the brilliant idea that if I stood in Droks, people would give me their old armor as they were buying their new armor:

"Hey if any dervishes are buying new armor [which you can't in Droks of course... lol...] do you mind if I have your old set?"

Some guy was selling "q9 Perfect Sword RARE SKIN" in Kamadan, I sort've wanted a Shinobi but not so badly I was going to put up the the whole "offer" business. The following occurred.

Still stupid, though. Any misogynistic language is uncalled for.

Although tbh, it is frustrating when you are just looking for an offer for it, and someone says No thanks and then just doesnt respond. I am fine with someone not having an offer for it, but when someone says offer, then nty, then the seller says a price, at least respond to the person, Dont just ignore them. Obviously that kind of language is uncalled for.

Anyway, so I was selling a mini in kama. I tell them the price, (Avg price is around 500, I say 515). They Lol at me, tell me that the HoM calc screwed everything up and it is now 300. Of course this is not the case because I have had other offers around the average price. They lol at my price and tell me that I will never get that.

Does anyone else get extremely frustrated when someone Lol's at your price? It makes me so mad. Anyway, Thats mine.

Consequence of not having a useful trading system in-game. Basically they can't afford it at the going rate.

When people are trying to sell something they should have a price in mind, Not get disgruntled when people don't want to offer. I've met a few people like this, Go research a price it's not too difficult.

Its not always clear what the price is for an item. I dont get frustrated when people dont want to offer. I get frustrated when people just say "ok, bye" when I say offer. I am just looking for an offer, if you dont want to, Ill go ahead and guesstimate at a price, but I just want to find a reasonable price for both of us.

I never offer because I know that whatever I say will be responded to with an insult. Offer = end of conversation, one day the idiots who say offer will realise that, but then again, they won't.

I always low-ball it when people say offer.
Once in a blue moon you'll get lucky and the person either doesn't know what its worth or they just want to get rid of it for any amount. And if they call me a noob for offering low, I just ignore them and go on my way because I have better things to do than argue with people who often just say "offer" in hopes you offer more than its worth.

I very rarely trade anything else than picks and mats and that sort of things that have widely known value. If I'm trading anything else, like weapons and shields and so on, I have no clue about the value and I ask for an offer. Usually I accept it, as I don't enjoy sitting at Spamadan, but I want quick trades. I don't mind if I lose plat of few or even more. Just sold R8 Skull shield for 20k, I don't know if the price was right but I didn't need it anymore, it was blue and inscripable.

That may be true, but it also works the other way around. Many times when I give a fair price on an item, people just say LOL not worth that much, ill buy the yeti for 200e, thats what its really worth. Then I just say RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GO off. It usually happens a lot though, so I typically say offer, if they lowball, then I just give em my price and either haggle with em or they say nty.

I would just prefer if everyone was civilized about it, not a bunch of 10 year old RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOs.

When people say offer I usually ask what the current offer is? That sometimes works and that way you can get an idea of their hopes and sometimes dreams (or is it delusions?). When I was buying a mini Gwen Doll one guy in Kamadan said c/o was 150 ectos. We never spoke again

99% of current offers in game are complete bull sh*t. Its easy to tell right away when its like 5 ectos from the b/o price.

This one's recurring rather frequently, so I don't have any particular screenshot. But it goes like this: I'm in a low level outpost and decide to get rid of some of the accumulated cruft in my storage/bags. So I say something like "I'm giving away free low level stuff to beginners". Which is when the comedy begins.

Instantly, of all people, I get a bunch of lvl 20's who come and try to open trade. Some of them even have high rank titles. Some of them will try to say "it's for my other low level char" but most don't even bother. I say "dude, it's random crap, don't waste your time". Nah, they insist on seeing it. So I show it.

You're probably imagining they laugh and excuse themselves politely once they see the stuff? I fear not; often they get mad. Sometimes very mad. And the killer is when they insist on showing me their gold or green whatever, to make me understand exactly how badly I've insulted them. I guess some people have no sense of irony.

I love doing this. I see "WTS caster Voltaic spear. Whisper offer" and I'll shoot them a 10k offer. Sometimes I'll get a LOL, sometimes I'll be called a noob but most times I'll just be ignored.

i do this alot when i see the people doing offer on a item. look its not hard to get a pc on a item. when i sell a item i start with the highest i can get for the item; example say a q9 VS i start with something like 100e then work my way down. 9/10 times i get the amount i want and let the buy think he gets the deal. other wise ill get people trying to lowball me. like 2k for a elite tome someone wanted me to accept. oo;
